Dr McLintock is an Ophthalmologist (Eye Surgeon) with advanced training and expertise in Refractive/Laser Eye Surgery, Cataract Surgery and Corneal transplantation.

Through his practices in the greater Brisbane region, he is passionate about customer-focused eye care. Offering the highest possible outcomes and patient experience via leading-edge technology and treatments for eye health.

Dr McLintock graduated from Queensland University in 2006. While working as a resident in hospitals throughout Queensland he developed a keen interest in Ophthalmology. As a result, he then completed a Masters of Medicine in Ophthalmic Science at the University of Sydney. Six years of formal specialist training in Ophthalmology then followed at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, the Gold Coast University Hospital and the Queensland Children’s Hospital.

Having been awarded the Topham Scholarship in 2017, advanced sub-specialist training in Corneal and Refractive Surgery was undertaken at the Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, England. At this renowned institution, with its international reputation for excellence and innovation, he refined his skills in Cataract Surgery, Corneal Surgery and Refractive Surgery.

Dr McLintock is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and is passionate about sharing his knowledge & expertise with Queensland’s future Eye Surgeons. In recognition of his educational work at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, he was awarded the Queensland Trainer of Excellence Award (2019) by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO).

Dr McLintock also shares his knowledge and eye health research as an author for Australian & International Ophthalmology Journals on a variety of topics including limbal stem cell transplantation, refractive surgery, keratoconus, corneal transplantation and cataract surgery. He is an invited lecturer at numerous Ophthalmology conferences both local and overseas.
